Planning a route between the destinations

The four regions on this page sit along natural travel routes, so it is easy to link them in one trip. Merzouga and Erg Chebbi are the heart of our work. From there, roads lead west along the desert to the Todra and Dades gorges and the High Atlas, and north through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas toward Fes and Chefchaouen.

Suggested combinations

Best time for each region

The desert is best from October to April. The Atlas is beautiful in spring and autumn and can be snowy in winter. Chefchaouen and the Rif are green and pleasant most of the year, and cool in summer when the south is hot. Our weather guide has month-by-month detail.
