This half-morning route reaches the fossil beds and an abandoned kasbah, so alongside the usual helmets, goggles and harnessed buggies we bring a small first-aid kit and extra drinking water in the support vehicle. Quads and buggies are serviced the night before longer routes like this one, and guides carry a basic tool and tyre-repair kit in case of a puncture on the rougher fossil-bed track.
